HealthCheck fair available at CTRMC


Carson Tahoe offers affordable lab screenings on the second Tuesday of each month. The next Community HealthCheck Fair is Tuesday. Doctor's orders are not required. Learn computer basics at center


An Introduction to Computer class will be held at the Carson City Senior Center in February.


The class is from 9-11 a.m. Tuesdays and Thursdays through March 6. This class is designed for the beginning computer student. Basic knowledge of the keyboard is helpful, but not required. Classes are conducted at the Carson City Senior Citizens Center, 911 Beverly Drive. Cost of the four week program is $40, including all materials.

Jazz Sampler for Valentine's Day


Treat your Valentine to a Jazz Sampler for Sweethearts, an evening of big-band music 8-10 p.m. Tuesday at Comma Coffee.


Comma Coffee, 312 S. Carson St., is across the street from the Legislature. General admission is $5 at the door; $4 for members of the Mile High Jazz Band Association; and free for age 18 and under. Dance instruction, 6-7:30 p.m., is $5 additional. Call June Joplin at -883-2662.
