RENO " A preliminary hearing for a man charged in the killing of a University of Nevada, Reno professor has been postponed until Feb. 29.

Mohamad Kamalaudeen is charged with murder for the August stabbing death of 64-year-old Judy Calder.

Known locally as Rickey Barge, Kamalaudeen was a business associate of Calder and her husband, James. Authorities allege he killed her because of $150,000 debt he owed.

Investigators believe Calder was killed Aug. 18 at Imaging Technologies, a Reno business. Her body was found two weeks later in rural Elko County, about 375 miles northeast of Reno.

Kamalaudeen was arrested in Mexico in September and extradited to Nevada last month.
