ESPN Spanish Language Sports Switch To English Language

 

RENO " Today ESPN Deportes 1450 AM will go dead and Fox Sports 1450 AM will go live. Currently, Fox Sports holds the nation's second most popular roster of syndicated sports programming behind ESPN Radio 630. Both stations are broadcast by the Lotus Communications Corp, home of local stations 105.7 FM KOZZ, 104.5 FM KDOT, and 94.5 FM KUUB.

Lotus Communications Corp. is one of the largest privately owned Radio Station Groups in the United States. It was founded in 1962 by Howard A. Kalmenson, with the purchase of KWKW, one of Los Angeles' original Spanish language radio stations.

Lotus currently owns and operates 26 radio stations in Arizona, California, Nevada, and Texas. Lotus is a privately owned enterprise, providing a home for more than 400 full-time and part-time employees.
