Wednesday weather outlook; high wind warning in Washoe Valley

A high wind warning is in effect for Washoe Valley from East Lake Boulevard to Winters Ranch. Campers and trailers are prohibited.

Areas of utility work continue on Carson City streets, most notably on Fairview Drive from Silver Sage to South Edmonds, and on Highway 50 East from Saliman Road to Airport Road.

Expect delays on Highway 50 in both travel directions. Drive carefully through these areas.

Today's weather will be mostly cloudy with isolated showers in the morning then scattered snow showers in the afternoon with highs 39-49 and northwest winds 10-15 mph shifting to the north in the afternoon with gusts up to 35 mph.

Tonight, clear with lows 15-25 and northeast winds 10-15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph in the evening.
