Two men remained hospitalized and reportedly in stable condition Sunday evening at Reno's Renown Regional Medical Center in the wake of a stabbing incident that occurred shortly after 2 a.m. Sunday morning in the parking lot of Katie's Bar on Airport Road.

"There are no eyewitnesses," said Lt. Bob White. "It was just the victims and the suspect."

The victims were taken to the hospital shortly before 3 a.m. The assailant allegedly fled the scene after the incident.

"Both victims were careflighted," said Sheriff Kenny Furlong Sunday afternoon. "The details of how this came to be are still sketchy.

"We're having a difficult time identifying what started this."

Sheriff's officials Sunday afternoon said the chief suspect's name is Marvin Dresler, who is not yet in custody. He is described as a large-framed man.

Two detectives from the Carson City Sheriff's Department were at the hospital Sunday afternoon investigating the incident; no other details including the names of the injured parties and cause of the altercation were released by the Sheriff's Office as of press time Sunday.

"We know the victims' wounds don't appear to be life-threatening," White said. "But we haven't been able to get a lot of information from them."

Furlong said one may have suffered more serious injuries.

"I was told one of them got stabbed pretty bad," he said.

Katie's Bar workers also refused to comment Sunday.

Anyone with information on Dresler's whereabouts are encouraged to call 887-2020.
