Tuesday weather; one road control noted

Today's weather will be sunny with warming temperatures of highs 49-59 with light winds. Tonight, partly cloudy with lows 20-30 and light winds.

The Nevada Department of Transportation reports at 6:15 a.m. SR 89 closed due to avalanche control for 7.7 miles between 2.8 miles north of junction Highway 50 and Bliss State Park.

Areas of utility work continue on Carson City streets, most notably on Fairview Drive from Silver Sage to South Edmonds, and on Highway 50 East from Saliman Road to Airport Road.

Expect delays on Highway 50 in both travel directions. Drive carefully through these areas.
