Wednesday weather outlook for Carson City; road controls

Today's weather will be partly cloudy with highs 53-63 and light winds. Tonight, partly cloudy with lows 22-32 and northwest winds around 10 mph.

The Nevada Department of Transportation reports at 6:15 a.m. SR 89 closed for 9.7 miles between 2.8 miles north of junction Highway 50 and Bliss State Park.

Areas of utility work continue on Carson City streets, most notably on Fairview Drive from Silver Sage to South Edmonds, and on Highway 50 East from Saliman Road to Airport Road.

Expect delays on Highway 50 in both travel directions. Drive carefully through these areas.
