Partly cloudy, still breezy in Carson City

Weather for the Carson City area today will be partly cloudy with highs 54-64 with southwest winds 10-15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight, partly cloudy with lows 27-37 and west winds 10-15 mph in the evening becoming light.

Wednesday, sunny with highs 60-70 with light winds.

The Nevada Department of Transportation reports at 5:51 a.m. all roads open with no controls with the following exceptions:

Highway 395 " High wind advisory; campers and trailers not advised for 6 miles between East Lake Boulevard and Winters Ranch.

SR 431 " Snowtires or chains required for 3.9 miles between 6.5 miles north of SR 28 and 10.4 miles north of SR 28.

Utility work continues on Little Lane between Saliman Road south Stewart Street, mainly between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m., with lane restrictions on Little Lane west of South Roop Street.

Utility work is also being done on North Roop Street from East John to Long streets, and on Corbett street, west of North Roop.

Road work continues in Carson City with areas of delays, as with East Fifth Street from Saliman Road to Fairview Drive.

Work on Highway 50 in east Carson City and Mound House has posted lower speed limits with narrow lanes just east of Flint Drive.
