Weekend weather outlook for Carson City; utility work continues on Highway 50

Today's weather will be sunny with highs 59-69 with light winds southwest 10-15 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight, breezy with a high wind watch in effect through Saturday morning and partly cloudy. Then mostly cloudy with isolated showers after midnight with lows 30-40 and southwest winds 10-15 mph with gusts up to 50 mph after midnight.

Saturday, breezy with mostly cloudy skies and isolated showers in the morning, then partly cloudy in the afternoon with highs 46-56 and west winds 15-25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph decreasing to 30 mph in the afternoon.

Areas of utility work continue on Carson City streets, most notably on Fairview Drive from Silver Sage to South Edmonds, and on Highway 50 East from Saliman Road to Airport Road.

Expect delays on Highway 50 in both travel directions. Drive carefully through these areas.
