WNC sweeps doubleheader at Southern Nevada

In the opening game of four-game series Western Nevada College Wildcats knocked off the College of Southern Nevada 6-1 in Henderson at Leid Field.

The Wildcats completed the doubleheader sweep winning 5-2 in the nightcap.

The series is the first games of the Scenic West Athletic Conference action for both teams.

The Wildcats' wins give them a 9-8 lead in the series between the two teams, not counting forfeits.

Last year, in the Regional finals the Wildcats swept the Coyotes 2 games to none again at CSN, a series win that helped propel them to the Junior College World Series.

The teams will play a doubleheader on Saturday.
