Eleanor Heine, 82, formerly of Fort Wayne, passed away Sunday, December 23, 2007 in Carson City, Nev., where she lived the past 10 years.
She was born June 11, 1925 in Conneaut, Ohio, to Victor & Elizabeth (Tuuri) Jarvi. She was a homemaker and member of the Salem United Church of Christ. Surviving are a daughter Karen Heine of Minden, sisters-in-law, Marilyn Jarvi of Conneaut, Ohio and Juanita Jarvi of Bowling Green, Ohio and cousin, Ruth Hartzog of Fort Wayne and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, James Heine; her son, James and all of her brothers and sisters.
Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday, January 19, 2008 at D.O. McComb and Sons Maplewood Park Funeral Home, 4017 Maplecrest Rd. Ft. Wayne, Ind. with Rev. Norman Conklin officiating. Calling hours will be 2 hours prior to service time on Saturday. Burial will be in Covington Memorial Gardens. Memorials to Salem United Church of Christ, 2401 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne, IN 46805.
