MTV came to town Thursday to film a few days' worth of its morning show, and South Shore snowboarders will be featured.

Today the MTV crew will film at Sierra-at-Tahoe ski resort. All of the footage will air on "The Big Ten" at 9 a.m. on Feb. 4-6.

"We have the snow and it's great to have that national exposure," said Patrick Kaler, executive director of the Lake Tahoe Visitors Authority.

This is the second year "The Big Ten" has been filmed at the South Shore. Kaler said Heavenly Mountain Resort and Sierra-at-Tahoe are featured in the show.

Damien Fahey hosts the morning show, which is set up like a late-night talk show. Along with interviews, Fahey counts down the top 10 biggest music videos of the day.

"MTV enjoys being in Tahoe," said Janie Hoffman, marketing and branding director.

The crew of "The Big Ten" filmed at Groove Terrain Park, where the Heavenly terrain park workers set up special boxes where snowboarders were doing tricks. Fahey then used the boxes as a desk to interview snowboarder Jimmy Halopoff.

Fahey didn't know how to snowboard, so the crew shot snowboarder Bevan Hall giving Fahey a few pointers while he was riding, said Hoffman.

Also featured in the shoot were James Hague and Neil Romanek, who are members of the South Shore Soldiers, a group that has hosted an adult snowboarding and ski camp at Heavenly since 2002 and has its own line of clothing.
