Library remodeling its checkout counter
The Douglas County Public Library has begun construction of a new checkout counter. When complete, the new desk will provide a more functional area for patron service including easy access book return, wheelchair access for checkout and a new self-service area for picking up reserved items.
During construction, which will last several weeks, the entrance to the library may periodically be obstructed, and the library may be dusty and noisy. The library may not be able to process interlibrary loan requests during construction.
