Today's weather will be cloudy and brisk with a slight chance of snow. Highs 29-39 with southwest winds 10-15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph increasing to 15-25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight, brisk with snow likely in the evening then a chance of snow showers after midnight.

The Nevada Department of Transportation at 6:18 a.m. reports the following road controls:

Highway 395 " High wind advisory in Washoe Valley, campers and trailers not advised between north Carson City and Winters Ranch.

Highway 50 " Snow tires or chains required for 18.2 miles between 0.7 miles east of the California state line and 3.3 miles west of Highway 395 in south Carson City. Snow tires or chains required for 11 miles between 10.6 miles east of Kyburz and 4.1 miles west of SR 89 in California.
