Carson City


The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:


• A 35-year-old construction worker from Carson City was arrested at 1:25 p.m. Thursday at the corner of Nevada and 10th streets on two misdemeanor warrants. Bail was set at $1,971.


• A 34-year-old business owner from Carson City was arrested in the 200 block of Rawhide Way on suspicion of misdemeanor criminal contempt. Bail was set at $287.


• Paula Michelle Cummings-Toombs, a 29-year-old phone operator from Carson City, was arrested at 9:08 p.m. Thursday in the 2600 block of Dori Way on suspicion of felony obtaining money under a false pretense, felony obtaining and using information to obtain credit and felony trying to obtain a controlled substance. No bail was set.


• Sandra Dee Tieffer, a 47-year-old snack bar worker from Carson City, was arrested at 5:06 a.m. Friday in the 400 block of Lee Street on suspicion of felony parole violation. No bail was set.


• A 53-year-old disabled man from Carson City was arrested in the 400 block of Lee Street on suspicion of a misdemeanor violation of parole and probation requirements. Bail was set at $3,000.




Lyon County


The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Thursday:


• Report of juveniles stealing two signs from in front of a business on I-95A in Fernley.


• Report of a residential burglary on Dayton Avenue in Stagecoach.
