Elvera Mae Costello, 80, a Dayton resident, for seven years, passed away July 8, 2008 at Carson Tahoe Hospital. Elvera was born on September 3, 1927 to Antone and Jessie (Raposa) Rodgers in Redwood City, Calif. She was a wonderful mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, and loving cousin.

She is survived by her son, Ricky Costello of San Ramon, Calif.; daughters Susan Stewart-Romero of Lucerne, Calif. and Kathleen Marshall of Antioch, Calif. ; brothers Duke Rodgers of Oakland, Ore. and Kenny Rodgers of Stagecoach; cousins Jeannie Minvielle and Dorothy Dempsey of Stagecoach; sisters Leonora Galvin and Barbara Williams of Dayton; grandchildren Alicia, Stephen, Ernie, John and Jenny; and great granddaughter, Grace.

A rosary will be 3:30 p.m., Friday at St. Anne's Catholic Church in Dayton. FitzHenry's Funeral Home is caring for arrangements.
