Road work continues in Carson City with areas of delays, mainly Fairview Drive between Roop Street and South Lompa Lane, primarily between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., and Highway 50 East between Airport Road and Saliman Road.
The closure of westbound Fairview Drive from Saliman Road to Roop Street is in effect through Aug. 31. Alternate routes of travel are Colorado Street to the south, and Little Lane to the north.
Traffic will be controlled at times; alternate routes are advised.
Roop Street between Musser and Fifth streets will be closed Saturday. Alternate routes of travel are Stewart Street and Saliman Road.
The Nevada Department of Transportation reports at 6:09 a.m. all roads open with no controls.
Today's weather will be sunny with some haze with highs 85-95 with light winds becoming west 10-15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph in the afternoon.
Tonight, clear with haze with lows 52-62 and west winds 15-20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph in the evening becoming light.
Thursday, sunny with haze with highs 86-96 with light winds becoming west 10-15 mph in the afternoon.
