Today's weather will be sunny with hazy skies and areas of smoke through the day. Highs 84-94 with light winds becoming southwest around 10 mph in the afternoon.
Tonight, clear with haze and areas of smoke with lows 53-63 and west winds 10-20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph in the evening becoming light.
Tuesday, breezy and sunny with areas of smoke of the morning. Highs 82-92 with light winds becoming west 15-25 mph with gusts up to 35 mph in the afternoon.
Road work continues in Carson City with areas of delays, mainly Fairview Drive between Roop Street and South Lompa Lane, primarily between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., and Highway 50 East between Airport Road and Saliman Road.
The closure of westbound Fairview Drive from Saliman Road to Roop Street is in effect through Aug. 31. Alternate routes of travel are Colorado Street to the south, and Little Lane to the north.
Traffic will be controlled at times; alternate routes are advised.
The Nevada Department of Transportation reports at 6:23 a.m. all roads open with no controls.
