A concert of local bands Saturday will raise money for Cameron Hardy, a Carson City teen battling leukemia.

Bands playing at The Warehouse at at 3579 Highway 50 East, are Carson City's Fire Danger, The Rebel Diamonds and This Calendar Year, both from Reno.

Hardy was diagnosed in January with acute myeloid leukemia, a rapidly progressing cancer of the blood. According to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society, only 20.7 percent of the people diagnosed with AML survive five years.

He has not been able to find a donor for a bone marrow transplant, but more than 300 people showed up for a bone marrow drive on June 23 in hopes of finding a match.

The benefit is set for 7:30 p.m. and is open to all ages. Tickets are $5.
