Today's weather will be sunny with a little bit of haze with highs 87-97 and light winds becoming west 10-15 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight, clear with lows 54-64 with west winds 10-15 mph decreasing to up to 10 mph after midnight.

Saturday, sunny in the morning becoming partly cloudy with a slight chance of thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs 89-99 with light winds becoming southwest 10-15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph in the afternoon.

Sunday, sunny with highs 86-96 with light winds becoming west 10-15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph in the afternoon.

Roop Street between Musser and Fifth streets will be closed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday. Alternate routes of travel are Stewart Street and Saliman Road.

Road work continues in Carson City with areas of delays, mainly Fairview Drive between Roop Street and South Lompa Lane, primarily between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., and Highway 50 East between Airport Road and Saliman Road.

The closure of westbound Fairview Drive from Saliman Road to Roop Street is in effect through Aug. 31. Alternate routes of travel are Colorado Street to the south, and Little Lane to the north.

Traffic will be controlled at times; alternate routes are advised.

The Nevada Department of Transportation reports at 6:11 a.m. all roads open with no controls.
