Four juveniles and one young adult are in the Carson City Jail after being charged with burglarizing a convenience store on Woodside Drive.

The five are accused of throwing a rock through the glass window of Eagle Mini Mart just before 5 a.m. Sunday. Sgt. Darrin Sloan said the suspects grabbed cigarettes and beer then fled the store, jumping a wall and disappearing into the apartment complex next door.

The bandits had bandannas over their faces to conceal their identities. Sloan said the suspects had bandannas on when they were caught in the breezeway of the apartment complex.

Miguel Gomez, 20, was charged with burglary and four counts of contributing to the delinquency of a minor. The minors, whose names were not released, were charged with burglary. They ranged from 14 to 17 years old.

Sloan said the mini mart has been hit twice in the recent past using the same technique " a rock through the door and a quick grab of cigarettes and alcohol before fleeing. He said he doesn't know if the same youths were involved in those burglaries.
