She was preceded in death by her first husband Herbert Jones, her second husband James Tighe, and her son Bradford Jones.

She was born in Glencoe, Pa. one of eight children. She graduated from Grace Hospital School of Nursing, Detroit, MI, in 1938. In 1939, she became one of the first American Airlines stewardesses, where she met author Earnest K. Gann, developer Del Webb, and Gene Autry. Her stories of her early nursing career and airline career fascinated her children. In June 1943 she married Herbert F. Jones, an American Airlines captain. In 1968, she returned to work as a Registered Nurse and continued to work until 1983. She will be remembered most fondly by the doctors and nurses she worked with at Carson Tahoe Hospital as a night supervisor from 1971 - 1983. During her second marriage she was able to travel, one of her favorite hobbies. She also enjoyed gardening, quilting, and listening to music. She leaves us with so many wonderful memories and touched so many lives with her quick wit and loving humor.

A memorial service will be held at St. Andrews United Methodist Church, 3350 White Bay Dr. (9300 block of S. University Blvd.), Highlands Ranch, Colo. 3 p.m., June 16.
