Westbound Fairview closure begins today; warm weather on tap

Road work continues in Carson City with areas of delays, mainly Fairview Drive between Roop Street and South Lompa Lane, primarily between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., and Highway 50 East between Airport Road and Saliman Road.

The closure of westbound Fairview Drive from Saliman Road to Roop Street begins at 7 a.m. today. Alternate routes of travel are Colorado Street to the south, and Little Lane to the north.

Traffic will be controlled at times; alternate routes are advised.

The Nevada Department of Transportation at 6:11 a.m. reports all routes open in Northern Nevada.

Today's weather will be sunny with highs 81-91 and west winds up to 10 mph in the morning becoming 10-15 mph with gusts up to 30 mph in the late afternoon.

Tonight, breezy and clear with lows 49-59 with west winds 15-25 mph with gusts up to 30 mph decreasing to around 10 mph after midnight.

Tuesday, sunny with highs 69-79 with northwest winds 10-20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph in the afternoon.
