Jesse Rasner pitched a complete game but it wasn't enough as the Nevada Bighorns lost to the San Leandro Braves 2-1 on Friday at Governor's Field.

Rasner allowed just one earned run through seven innings, allowing six hits while striking out three and walking none. But it wasn't enough to overcome the effort of winning pitcher Jason Kellar, who shut down the Bighorns over six innings after allowing a first inning run.

Kellar struck out seven and allowed six hits. Vic Guerrero came on in the seventh to pick up the save.

The Bighorns took a 1-0 lead in the first when Jeff Young singled and eventually scored on Ryan Simpson's single. But the Braves took advantage of the Bighorns' only error to score an unearned run to tie the game 1-1 in the second. Stephen Rivera's RBI single gave San Leandro a 2-1 lead in the fifth.

Ryan Lane had two hits and Adam Anderson and Tyson Jaquez each added a hit for the Bighorns.

The two teams will return to action in a doubleheader, beginning at noon today at Western Nevada College's John L. Harvey Field. All Little League players wearing their uniforms will receive free admission. Players in attendance from both Giants teams who won the Carson City Little League minor and major titles will also have the chance to throw out the ceremonial first pitch.
