GARDNERVILLE -- A robbery at El Dorado Savings Bank in downtown Gardnerville was reported around 10:45 a.m.

The Douglas County Sheriff's Office is looking for white male, about 40 years old, 6 feet tall, weighing 180 pounds.

The man was last seen wearing jeans, cowboy boots, a cowboy belt buckle, a white and blue long-sleeve plaid shirt, a black or blue baseball cap with gold lettering and dark-lensed glasses. The man was reported to be carrying a dark briefcase.

Initial reports indicate the man told bank tellers he had a gun in the briefcase, but no weapon was reported seen, and no one was hurt.

The man fled the bank on foot. Sheriff's deputies are checking parking lots and back yards around downtown Gardnerville.

Anyone with information on this robbery or the identity of the suspect is asked to contact Investigator Dennis Slater at (775) 586-7255, Douglas County Sheriff's Office.
