Eagle Scout arrested for car break-ins in Orange County

IRVINE, Calif. " An Eagle School was arrested for Orange County car break-ins hours after his high school graduation.

Irvine police officers spotted 18-year-old Carter Sudeith dressed in black and wearing latex gloves early Wednesday, just hours after the University High School graduation ceremonies.

Lt. Rick Handfield says Sudeith was apparently carrying his stolen items " iPods, cash and packs of cigarettes. Sudeith was booked for investigation of vehicle burglary.

Police say the teen apparently tried about 100 car doors and found 30 unlocked vehicles.

Sudeith received his Eagle Scout rank with Irvine's Troop 606 in 2005.
