SAN FRANCISCO " Hundreds of firefighters will be on the line today as they continue to battle a wildfire moving from the Napa County line into the foothills northwest of Fairfield.

A spokesman for Cal Fire says the blaze has consumed about 4,000 acres since it broke out Saturday.

One home and one barn has been destroyed.

Mandatory evacuations have been ordered for some residents north of the fire, though fire officials did not have an estimate for how many people have been ordered to evacuate.

The blaze is 35 percent. Fire officials don't have an estimate when they will be able to contain the fire.

To the south in Santa Clara County, two fires west of Gilroy have burned about 950 acres.

Both fires are 50 percent contained. No structures have been burned.
