Carson City

The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proved guilty in court:

- Jerry Leinweber, 35, a homeless construction worker, was arrested at 8:06 p.m. in the 1600 block of Medical Parkway on Wednesday on suspicion of felony sex offender failure to change address and misdemeanor obstructing a peace officer. Bail was set at $5,432.

- Brandon Miguel Alvarez, 23, of Carson City, was arrested at 2:45 p.m. at South Carson Meadows and Goldfield Avenue on suspicion of felony assault with a deadly weapon, intimidating a witness, use of a controlled substance, misdemeanor driving under the influence of drugs, possession of a hypodermic needle and driving without a license. Bail was set at $22,451. When officers were checking Alvarez for weapons, a deputy was stuck by the hypodermic needle allegedly in Alvarez's pocket. A blood sample was taken from Alvarez, as well as from another man with whom he allegedly shared the needle, to test for communicable diseases.

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:

- Coroner call in the 3000 block of North Ormsby Boulevard at 3:06 a.m.

- A modular building on the side of Mark Twain Elementary School was burglarized sometime before 6:49 a.m.

- Commercial burglary report in the 2000 block of Lompa Lane at 9:10 a.m.

- Residential burglary report on Spartan Avenue at 12:09 p.m.

- A woman entered Puppy Town in the 1900 block of North Carson Street at 4:10 p.m. and walked out the back door with a long-haired, brown and tan, 12-week-old dapple dachshund. The woman was described as 19 years old, 5-feet-7-inches tall, about 250 pounds, with thick, long, dirty blonde hair and wearing a cream-colored jacket and dirty jeans.

- Residential burglary report in the 1300 block of Green Court at 5:20 p.m.

- A report of several parked vehicles on College Parkway "egged."

Lyon County

The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Wednesday:

- A Fernley woman reported she woke up at 2:29 a.m., her front door was open, money was missing and her "hide-a-key" was gone.

- A Dayton Valley man reported at 9:42 a.m. that someone broke his guitar and he wasn't sure who.

- A caller on Elm Street in Silver Springs reported someone left a camper on their property.

- A Mason Valley father reported at 10:41 a.m. that his 15-year-old daughter was pregnant by a 19-year-old man.

- A Fernley mother reported at 3:36 p.m. that her 11-year-old son was struck while walking his dog and the boy's friends were yelled at by a golf course employee.

- Coroner call on Miller Ridge Road in Smith Valley at 5:47 p.m.

- Money and a camera were stolen from a home on River Park Parkway after a burglar entered through an open window.

- A Silver Springs caller reported they were gone from their Tonopah Street home for three days and when they returned their safe was missing from underneath their bed.

- Misdemeanor arrest on Royal Troon Drive in Dayton Valley at 11:05 p.m.
