Cutler, Jaquez lead Bighorns to win

Justin Cutler struck out 11 over five innings and Tyson Jaquez went 4-for-4 to lead the Nevada Bighorns to a 10-2 win over the Tahoe Emeralds on Friday at Governor's Field.

Cutler allowed one run in picking up the win and Jaquez also had a double and two RBI. J.J. Delallo hit a three-run home run in the fifth inning to give the Bighorns an 8-1 lead. Nick Nyman went 1-for-2 with two RBI, Kevin Schlange went 1-for-2 with an RBI and Aaron Henry and Ryan Simpson each added a hit.

Ryan Shepard struck out the side in his inning of work, Eric Melendez didn't allow a hit while striking out two over two innings and D.J. Simen struck out the side in the ninth.

The Bighorns will next play the Reno Muckdogs at 3 p.m. Sunday at Western Nevada College's John L. Harvey Field.
