World Dance Open Floor at Comma Coffee
World Dance Open Floor hosted by Starr at Comma Coffee, every third Friday. This is a free event but the troupe is dancing for donations to support local children's organizations. Wild Horse Children's Theater will benefit March's dance. For information call 883-2662.
Compassionate Friends hosts Grief Seminar
A Grief Seminar presented by The Compassionate Friends, 7:30 a.m. check-in, seminar 8 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday at the Carson City Nugget, 507 N. Carson Street. A continental breakfast will be available. Darcie Sims, an internationally recognized speaker on grief will be guest speaker. This workshop is designed to examine not only the grief process, but to create a new language for talking about grief.

Blarney Bash at Senior Center
The Carson City Senior Citizens Center will celebrate March with a "Blarney Bash" dance 7-10 p.m. today, 911 Beverly Dr. Dance to the music of the Joe Rossi Band. Dance lessons will be provided by Thane Cornell 6-7 p.m. Cost $6 per person. For information, call 883-0703.
Free seminar on selecting spring flowering plants
David Ruf, owner of Greenhouse Garden Center will host a seminar, "Selecting Spring Flowering Plants" 10 a.m. Saturday. In addition a large selection of spring flowering trees and shrubs will be available for viewing and purchase. Customers attending will receive a coupon for 15 percent off up to five items for that weekend.
Greenhouse Garden Center is located at 2450 S. Curry St. The seminar is free and reservations are not required. For information call 882-8600.
Carson City Democratic Women luncheon/meeting
The Carson City Democratic Women's Club will meet from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday at Grandma Hattie's Restaurant, 2811 S. Carson Street.
There will be a brunch buffet available for $12 per person; meeting begins at noon.

Children's Concert at Community Center Sunday
The Capital City Community Band will present it's annual Children's Concert 3 p.m. Sunday at the Boldrick Theater in the Carson Community Center. The concert will feature the combined elementary choirs from Bordewich-Bray, Fremont, Fritsch, and Seeliger Elementary Schools.
The concert is free and is sponsored by the Carson City Parks and Recreation Department. For information, call 883-2219.
Brewery to present Young Dubliners
Young Dubliners appears Sunday at 7:30 p.m. in the Performance Hall at the Brewery Arts Center, 511 W. King St. Tickets are $20 reserved seating. A $3 discount is available for BAC members, students and seniors.
