New UNR provost named

RENO " The dean at Colorado State University's College of Agricultural Sciences has been named provost at the University of Nevada, Reno.

Marc Johnson was selected over three other finalists for the job that pays $265,000 a year, UNR President Milton Glick said.

He is to begin June 1.

Johnson replaces John Frederick, who left in May to work as a senior fellow with the National Association of State Universities and Land-Grant Colleges.
