She was the greatest, most understanding and loving mother, with a smile on her face and the song of life in her heart.

Louise was born in Columbus, Ohio, lived in Los Angeles and Fontana, Calif. In the 60's she traveled the world with her husband, who managed construction projects in Hawaii, Africa, India, and Wales. She loved living in Gardnerville with her family, the last 7 years.

In later years her life was filled with making friends, baking, gardening, reading, crossword puzzles, playing cards, making personalized greeting cards on her computer, going to the Senior Center, Yoga classes and the Swim Center.

Her husband, Charles Ford Jenkins, preceded her in death.

She leaves behind her daughter Susan Jenkins, son Larry Jenkins and wife Patty, daughter Linda Hargett and husband Terry, six wonderful grandchildren and nine amazing great-grandchildren.

Her warm smile and energy of life will be deeply missed by all who knew her. She was our Mother, Grandmother, Great-Grandmother and GiGi. We miss her so very much.

She will live in our hearts forever!

Louise chose to have no public ceremony. Donations may be made in her honor to the Douglas County Senior Center, 2300 Meadow Lane, Gardnerville, NV 89410.
