About UOP: The Tigers took two of three from visiting Minnesota over the weekend .. Other than Mark McCain, the rest of the Tiger pitching staff has struggled. The opposition is hitting .325 against the staff ... Longmire has been sensational thus far, and is the Tigers' top power guy with four homers.

About Nevada: The Pack split with two-time defending champion Oregon State. The third game was cancelled because of weather. The Pack has lost two games to weather thus far ... Nevada opens WAC play Thursday against Louisiana Tech. The teams will play single games on Thursday and Friday, and a double-header on Saturday ... Nevada scored 10 runs in each of the games against Oregon State thanks to the efforts of Kort. Rodriguez, Bowman, Sadoian and Hale, all of whom swung the bat well.
