A Plucky Actor Ð Mr. S. S. Wiltsie, cast in the production of "She" was not drunk as was earlier thought, but boarded the C. P. train thinking it was the V&T. The conductor would not let him off until they reached Clark's which was 15 miles from Reno. So the plucky actor got his bearings and "hoofed it back to Virginia City" and played his part in good shape.

The plan this year for 18 round trips to America by a sister ship of the mighty dirigible Hindenburg may be hindered by the inability of the U.S. to export helium when it could be used for military purposes. Hitler's seizure of Austria only a couple of weeks after his guaranty of Austrian integrity and suspicion he contemplates a thrust into Western Czechoslovakia. Secretary of Interior Ickes who consulted the president on the subject is at a loss for a formula that would make binding a guaranty of non-military use.

Louise Rinckel Blakeslee writes about early days in Carson City and compliments Mr. and Mrs. John O. MacDonald on their beautiful drug store. "My father, Mathias Rinckel, bought the lot in 1876."
