Don L. Toral

Don L. Toral departed this earth life April 29, 2008. Don was born Nov. 5, 1940, in Colusa, Calif. He lived in Elko until he attended University of Nevada Reno.

Don was a high school teacher and counselor, retiring in 1994. He worked as an alcohol and drug abuse counselor, a marriage and family counselor and several years as a part-time therapist at Behavioral Health Services at Carson-Tahoe Hospital.

Don participated in many Sierra Club trips and work projects. He attended many art classes and enjoyed reading on a wide variety of subjects.

As one plaque given to Don stated, "You have enriched our lives. We will miss you, your friendship, your insights and humor and your gentle easy-going ways."

Don is survived by his wife, Molly, of Carson City; his brother Richard Toral and family of Orange County, his sons Keith Toral and his family of Carson City and Steve Toral and his wife of Las Vegas; sister-in-law, Tina Nappe, of Reno and his niece, Sacha Walser, and family of Minneapolis.

May you go in peace, Don, knowing that many love you and that we will meet again somewhere, somehow.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
