Weekend weather outlook includes chance of thunderstorms on Sunday

Today's weather will be partly cloudy in the morning then becoming mostly cloudy. Highs 60-70 with light winds becoming west 10-15 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight, mostly cloudy with a chance of showers after midnight, lows 34-44 with west winds 10-15 mph in the evening becoming light.

Saturday, mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers. Highs 63-73 with light winds becoming north around 10 mph in the afternoon.

Saturday night, mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers with lows 34-44 and northwest winds around 10 mph in the evening becoming light.

Sunday, mostly cloudy with a slight chance of showers in the morning then a slight chance of shower and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs 65-75 with northwest winds 5-10 mph shifting to the northeast around 10 mph in the afternoon.

Road work continues in Carson City with areas of delays, mainly Fairview Drive between Roop Street and South Edmonds, and Highway 50 East between Airport Road and Saliman Road.

Traffic will be controlled at times; alternate routes are advised.

The Nevada Department of Transportation at 6:29 a.m. reports all routes open in Northern Nevada with no controls.
