Today's weather will be mostly cloudy with isolated showers and thunderstorms in the morning, then scattered showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Highs 61 to 71 with light winds becoming west around 10 mph in the afternoon.

Tonight, mostly cloudy with scattered showers and thunderstorms in the evening, then isolated showers after midnight. Lows 37 to 47 with west winds 10-15 mph in the evening becoming light.

Friday will be partly cloudy with highs 67-77 and light winds becoming east around 10 mph in the afternoon.

Road work continues in Carson City with areas of delays, mainly Fairview Drive between Roop Street and South Lompa Lane, primarily between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m., and Highway 50 East between Airport Road and Saliman Road.

Traffic will be controlled at times; alternate routes are advised.

The Nevada Department of Transportation at 6:29 a.m. reports all routes open in Northern Nevada with no controls.
