Bertha Bleecker, 91, passed away May 9, 2008 at her home in Carson City. Bertha was born April 17, 1917 in Shamrock, Okla. to Nathaniel and Bertha Bentley. She moved to Carson City in 1978, moving here from Torrance, Calif. Bertha attended Hilltop Community Church in Carson City. She enjoyed crocheting, knitting and gardening. Bertha was an avid animal lover.

Bertha was preceded in death by her husband, Amos Bleecker who passed away in 1998; brothers, Kenneth Bentley and William Hogan and sister, Barbara Payne.

Bertha will be dearly missed by her daughters, Wanda Gambill of Carson City and Barbara McKinney of Concord, Calif.; sister, Bonnie McClintock of Westchester, Calif. and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 9-11 a.m. Thursday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley. A funeral service will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley. Burial will follow the service at Lone Mountain Cemetery in Carson City.

Walton's Chapel of the Valley has been entrusted with her final arrangements.
