The Nevada Wonders Academy Impulse U-18 girls' soccer team wrapped up its season

last month by winning its second Northern Nevada soccer tournament of the year, taking the U-19A division of the Comstock Shootout.

The team is made up of five under-18 players, 10 under-17, and two under-16 from Carson, Douglas, Galena and Manogue.

The Wonders defeated the Tahoe Storm 1-0, the Heritage Rage 2-1, the Elements United 4-1 and the Riptide 3-0.

Earlier in their season the Wonders were semi-finalists in the Las Vegas Mayor's Cup, the Madrid Premier and the Boise Performance Cup.

They also won the first Northern Nevada Soccer Tournament of the year, the Sagebrush Start-Up tournament.

They defeated the Riptide 2-0, the Sierra Storm 3-1 and the Sagebrush Black 1-0. In the finals after two overtime periods they defeated the Tahoe Storm in a shootout 1-0.

By winning the Sagebrush and Comstock the Wonders proved to be the top under-17, -18, and -19 girls' soccer team in Northern Nevada.

Team members included Krista Anderson, Samantha Fishburn, Libby Walker, Megan Jackson, Kelly D'Amico, Dany Heidt, Sage Lyons, Brianna Norvell, Lisa Christen, Belle Fleming, Shelby Corneil, Jenn Johnson, Lauren Schulz, Amanda Osborne, Brandi Vega, Michelle Day, Ally Freitas, trainer Mike Bernhard, assistant coach Landon Roser, coach Randy Roser and assistant trainer Cassy Bowman.
