McDermitt heavyweight Tyler Hinkey scored a unanimous four-round decision over Mike Miller Saturday at Freeport Hall in Dorchester, Mass.

One judge had it 40-36 and two 39-37, all in favor of the 25-year-old Hinkey, now 3-0-1 with 2 knockouts. Miller slipped to 3-11-2 (2). Both fighters weighed 245 pounds.

The bout was halted for approximately seven minutes in the third round when one of the ring ropes broke and had to be replaced.

McDermitt super middleweight Derek Hinkey saw his fight with Anthony Cannon fall through. The 27-year-old Hinkey, 4-1 (4), was paid the full amount of his purse when the 25-year-old Cannon, of Saginaw, Mich., elected to fight in the main event of the card after one of its participants was found to have an irregular heartbeat before the fight.

The card was co-promoted by Peter Manfredo Sr. and Let's Get It On Promotions.

Let's Get It On chief executive officer Terry Lane said both Hinkeys would appear on the undercard of Jesse Brinkley-Jason Naugler June 13 at the Reno Ballroom.
