Catherine Theresa Maher

Catherine Theresa Maher died April 18, 2008 in the home of her daughter, Susan Hult of Dayton.

Catherine is preceded in death by her husband, James Joseph Maher of New York City; her brother Patrick Cahill, Michael Cahill, Larry Cahill.

Catherine is survived by her children; Patricia McGaffin of Carson City, Larry Maher of Middletown, N.Y., James Maher of Walnut Creek, Calif., Susan Hult of Dayton, Loraine McGee of London, England; 13 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; her sister Anne Maguire of Walnut Creek, Calif., her brother John Cahill of Roscommon Ireland and her sister-in-law Anne Cahill of Oakland, Calif., nieces, nephews, cousins.

Catherine was born April 6, 1925 in Roscommon, Ireland to John and Elizabeth Cahill.

Catherine came to New York City in 1948. Catherine worked as a nurse at The Caledonian Hospital, Brooklyn, N.Y. In 1992 Catherine moved to Carson City. Catherine was a volunteer for the Carson City Senior Center and FISH.
