Carson City


The following people were booked into the Carson City Jail. All suspects are innocent until proven guilty in court:


• Michael Thompson, a 45-year-old Carson City man, was arrested at 10:05 a.m. Friday on the 2900 block of Research Way on suspicion of felony probation violation, failure to appear in court on a traffic violation, driving with a suspended license, speeding, driving without proof of insurance and driving with a suspended registration. No bail was set for the probation violation. Bail on the other counts was set at $2,100.


• A 29-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 3:57 p.m. Friday on the 2900 block of Kelly Drive on suspicion of obstructing an officer. Bail was set at $407.


• A 22-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 4:20 p.m. Friday at the intersection of Roop Street and Northgate Lane in Carson City on suspicion of impeding traffic and driving without a license. Bail was set at $220.


• A 33-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 5:30 p.m. Friday on the 3900 block of Village Drive on suspicion of destruction of a motor vehicle and being a drunken pedestrian. Bail was set at $700.


• Anthony Guastella, a 23-year-old Carson City man, was arrested at 10:10 p.m. Friday on the 3900 block of Fairview Drive on suspicion of DUI, his second, reckless driving and a felony probation violation. No bail was set for the probation violation. Bail for the other counts was set at $1,500.


• A 49-year-old Carson City woman was arrested at 11:29 p.m. Friday on the corner of John and Roop streets on suspicion of having an outstanding traffic warrant and speeding. Bail was set at $1,000.


• Timothy Newman, a 20-year-old Carson City man, was arrested at 9:39 a.m. Saturday on the 2100 block of Carriage Crest Drive on suspicion of having an outstanding felony warrant for burglary. Bail was set at $10,000.


• A 52-year-old Carson City man was arrested at 8:18 p.m. Wednesday in the 1800 block of North Carson Street on suspicion of a misdemeanor probation violation. Bail was set at $3,000.


• A 23-year-old salesperson from Carson City was arrested at 5:32 a.m. Friday in the 1100 block of South Nevada Street on suspicion of misdemeanor drunken driving. Bail was set at $1,132.


• A 41-year-old Carson City salesman was arrested at 5:47 p.m. Thursday in the 700 block of East Proctor Street on three misdemeanor warrants. Bail was set at $1,563.


• A 22-year-old shipping clerk from Carson City was arrested at 12:51 a.m. at Butti Lane and Fairview Drive on Friday on suspicion of misdemeanor drunken driving and speeding. Bail was set at $1,219.


The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Thursday:


• Coroner call in the 200 block of Koontz Lane at 9:20 a.m.


• Report of one employee spitting on another employee in the 1800 block of North Carson Street at 9:50 a.m.


• Report of brothers causing trouble at a Carson Street bar at 2:08 p.m.


• A woman reported she lost her checkbook and now someone was writing checks to a check cashing business.


• A caller reported she'd been having problems with an 8-year-old neighbor child, and that the child just came by and scratched her car with her bicycle at 3:25 p.m.


• Embezzlement report on South Carson Street at 5:18 p.m.


• A woman reported her wallet was stolen while she shopped at a South Carson Street store at 6:18 p.m.


Lyon County


The following incidents were reported to Lyon County sheriff's deputies Friday:


• A woman reported she believes she interrupted a burglary in progress at 11:25 a.m. on the 2900 block of Rawhide Street.


• A 17-year-old girl was reportedly stabbed by a pen or a pencil at 2:57 p.m. at an unknown location. The incident was reported at the Fernley substation.


• A woman reported her car tires were slashed at 7:58 p.m. on the 200 block of Logan Lane.


The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Thursday:


• Destruction of property report on Old Dayton Valley Road at 11:42 a.m.


• Residential burglary report on Hillcrest Circle in Dayton Valley at 6:09 p.m.


• Misdemeanor arrest in Smith Valley on Highway 208 at 7:28 p.m.


Storey County


The following are some of the calls to which deputies responded Thursday:


• Report of an older husky dog walking down State Route 341 at 1:04 p.m.


• Arrest on Waltham Way at 2:43 p.m.


• Report of a wandering husky/wolf-type dog on North C Street at 3:35 p.m.


• Traffic citation issued at 4:44 p.m.


• Arrest on Six Mile Canyon Road at 6:14 p.m.
