Brushfire snuffed out

BRAD HORN/Nevada Appeal A bluebird jumps off burned sagebrush after a small brushfire scorched the site on Friday. Carson City fire crews quickly snuffed a brush fire behind the Shell gas station off Curry Street on Friday afternoon. The fire was reported at 3:53 p.m. and scorched about an acre-and-a-half of land previously burned by the Waterfall fire in 2005. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
