Betty Jean Kruk

Betty Jean Kruk, a resident of Carson City, passed away Oct. 31, 2008 at the age of 77. She was born in Hickory, Miss. Jan. 9, 1931.

A celebration of Betty's life will be 11 a.m., Thursday at Walton's Chapel of the Valley with viewing at 9 a.m.

Betty will be remembered as a dedicated wife and loving mother. Betty ran her own fabric business, for 17 years and worked as a top-producing real estate agent in Ridgecrest, Calif. In addition to her many talents, she was also a seamstress, actress, and writer.

Betty will be forever loved, fondly remembered, and greatly missed.

She is survived by her children, Michael Kruk, Lisa Getas and husband Andrew, Stacy Kruk and husband Mike Shoaf, Tracy Kruk all of Nevada, Shane Kruk and wife Shirley of Colorado; Lynn St. Denis of California; five grandchildren Travis, Rachael and Dylan St. Denis, Zachary and David Kruk and one great granddaughter, Cozette. She is also survived by her brothers Pepper and Mit Thomas of Mississippi and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard, son Scotty who passed at birth, and older brother, Hopper Thomas.
