Robert D. Jennings

The Family of Robert D. Jennings is saddened to report his death on Oct. 29, 2008. Bob was born in Sacramento, Calif. Jan. 12, 1948. He graduated from San Juan High School. He enlisted in the Army in 1967, was wounded during the Vietnam War and received the Purple Heart for his contribution to our country. BJ spent his career with the U.S. Forest Service in the Fire Management Division. During this time he fought fire throughout the US by the end of his 26-year career he was qualified as a division supervisor, strike team leader, air tactical group supervisor and a variety of leadership roles for prescribed burns. BJ was also an accomplished pilot. His witty and intellectual observations will be sorely missed. A notice of his memorial will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are in the trusted care of Autumn Funerals and Cremations.
