Police are looking for information about who fired several gunshots on Brown and Gordon streets early Saturday morning.

No injuries were reported, but a bullet did pierce a truck parked on Brown Street.

Carson Sheriff's Detective Daniel Gonzales said 911 received several calls about 2:15 a.m. of shots being fired.

When officers arrived, a man, whose name was not released, said he'd left a woman in his truck on Brown Street to run into a friend's house. When he heard the gunfire, he went outside and saw that his truck was gone.

Another vehicle was also reportedly seen leaving the area, but no description was obtained, said Gonzales.

Investigators recovered several shell casings from the scene.

Later in the day officers located the truck unoccupied and parked in the Gold Dust West lot on Highway 50 East with a bullet hole.

The truck owner told detectives he did not know the name of the female who he left in his truck.

Anyone with information on the shooting is asked to call the Carson City Sheriff's Department Detective Division at 887-2020, ext. 41407.
