MINDEN " A home on Wildrose Avenue was nicked by a sport utility vehicle that rolled over on its front lawn in Minden 6:53 a.m. Friday.

Minden resident Steven Owens, 20, was westbound on Wildrose when he lost control of his 2001 silver Toyota 4Runner and left the road.

He told deputies he fell asleep when asked about the acident.

The 4Runner ran over some planters along the driveway and hit a tree, which forced it over onto its side. The rear of the pickup brushed the side of the building.

Neighbors said Owens crawled out through the back.

Silver State Towing driver Darren Daniels pointed out where the pickup took a small chunk out of the brickwork on the home's corner.

One neighbor speculated that if the truck hadn't hit the tree, it might have kept going into the home.

Owens was taken into custody for driving under the influence and possession of a controlled substance for sale.

According to sheriff's spokesman Sgt. Jim Halsey, this is Owens' second arrest in a week for driving under the influence.

Deputies allegedly found marijuana in plastic containers in the back of the vehicle along with paraphernalia.
