TRUCKEE, Calif. " Authorities have found the body of a woman who drove her car into a reservoir to escape a sheriff's deputy.

A Nevada County Sheriff lieutenant says the woman drove down a steep hillside into Boca Reservoir on Wednesday night. Divers found her body Friday about 200 feet from shore.

Authorities say the woman's identity will be released after an autopsy and her family are notified.

A sheriff's deputy pursued the woman after the Union Pacific Railroad reported a car had stopped at a crossing on the tracks. The car sped away but caused the train to make an emergency stop.

The reservoir is on the Little Truckee River about 27 miles southwest of Reno, Nevada.
