Body found in Boca identified

TRUCKEE " Authorities identified the body recovered from Boca Reservoir after a Wednesday chase as Valentina Brehm, 36, of Redding, Calif.

Nevada County Chief Deputy Coroner Cathy Valceschini said no more information on Brehn was available Monday afternoon.

On Friday Divers found Brehm, who drove her car into a reservoir to escape a sheriff's deputy, about 200 feet from shore, according to Nevada County Sheriff's Lt. John Kropp in a previous interview.

He said the woman drove down a steep hillside into Boca Reservoir on Wednesday night.

A sheriff's deputy pursued the woman after the Union Pacific Railroad reported a car had stopped at a crossing on the tracks. The car sped away but caused the train to make an emergency stop.
