The Nevada Department of Wildlife (NDOW) will conduct a three-day, progressive fly tying class on the dates of Dec. 2-3-4.

The three sessions (6-8 p.m. each night) will be held at the Verdi Community Library and Wildlife Education Center at 270 Bridge St. in Verdi (the building is adjacent to the Verdi Elementary School grounds).

Timely attendance is suggested at all three classes as each class relies on the previous due to increasing difficulty. Don't be tardy!

The three-day class will start with a basic fly and progressively work up to a more advanced fly by the third and final class.

If you always wanted to learn how to tie your own flies or learn how to match the hatch, this class will teach you the basics.

The class is designed for beginning to Intermediate level fly tiers and is free to all participants.

Each student shall furnish materials called for in the outline. The class is limited to the first 15 persons who sign-up.

All fly tying equipment will be provided. If you have your own tools and equipment feel free to bring them. Materials will be provided only for the first class.

There is a minimum age of 10 to attend the classes.

Pre-registration is required to receive the class outline.

To register or for information, call Chris Vasey at NDOW at 688-1622 during regular business hours.
